My goal as an interior photographer is to convey and show the main idea of the designer in the shots I take for my clients.
When photographing interiors, I am guided by the basic principles of cinematography. It is always important to remember that it is not enough to photograph an interior simply with a wide-angle lens. Yes, it will be informative, but no more. To maximise the space in interior photography, we have to use general plans to show the viewer the whole space. Medium plans to highlight and show the most interesting zones in the interior. And close-ups to emphasise the details and textures of the interior.
By sticking to these simple rules you can achieve fantastic results in interior photography. But if you remove even one component, the whole shoot will collapse like a house of cards.
If you would like to book interior photographer Sergey Melnikov to photograph a project you or your client have designed, or to purchase images you have seen on my website, please contact me.
