Whether it is necessary to decorate the object before shooting.
Comparison of before and after decoration.
Many customers do not understand why they need to invite an additional decorator and spend money, if they already call an interior photographer, whose duties, in their opinion, already include the creation of a beautiful picture. However, there is no need to confuse the concepts. The interior photographer is responsible for the picture, and the decorator (or the customer himself) for filling the frame. The photographer simply fixes the reality, and the decorator is responsible for what it will turn out to be as a result. If the decorator is not present at the shoot, a normal, average photographer will shoot everything as it is. A good interior photographer will try to create an interesting shot from improvised means. But it is good, if there is something to create this shot from. And what to do, in case of lack of decor? You won't use one vase and a magazine in every shot!
This is an interior shoot I did specifically to illustrate how important a decorator is on interior photography. It seems like the same flat, the same furniture and the same photographer. But look how different this flat turned out in the end. Which of them would you want to rent if you saw them, say, on Airbnb? I think the answer is obvious! And that's despite the fact that there is a minimum of decor.
Any, even the coolest interior will look cold and lifeless, if not created a cosy atmosphere, with many details that attract the eye, and which want to look at.
Now that we've sorted out the benefits of decorating, you can read an article about photo retouching. There I clearly showed the result before and after processing.
