The Louvre Abu Dhabi is an art museum situated on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. It operates under an agreement established between the UAE and France in March 2007, allowing it to use the Louvre's name until 2037. The Louvre Abu Dhabi is often referred to by the Louvre as "Franceโ€™s most extensive cultural project abroad." It spans approximately 24,000 square meters (260,000 square feet) in total area, with 8,000 square meters (86,000 square feet) designated for galleries, thus earning the distinction of being the largest art museum in the Arabian Peninsula. The museum showcases artworks from various parts of the world, with the explicit aim of bridging the gap between Eastern and Western art.
